APRIL 2009

Its been quite some time since we’ve updated the Davis Homeplace website, but many things have occurred since our last post. In February, we had our second set of paranormal experts visit our home. We’re waiting for some news on what they found.

JUNE 2008

Sadly, we had to have the lovely pine tree in the front yard taken down. Beetles had completely destroyed it, and the slightest wind could’ve caused a catastrophe. Luckily, it was a fairly easy process and only lasted a couple of days.

MAY 2008

This month marks the opening of the official Davis Homeplace website. We felt that it would be the easiest way for everyone to learn about our home, as well as an easy way to find all of our contact information. We will keep the site updated with information concerning upcoming group tours, as well as any updates going on with the house itself. As for the home, we have recently finished some intense renovations, which included a new coat of paint as well as the replacement of some of the wood on the sleeping porch, which was rotting due to weather damage. Those renovations are now complete, and we are pleased with the results! We are also very thankful to no longer be "under construction"!

We are also very excited to announce that the Davis Homeplace is now officially listed on the National Register of Historic Places! We've been waiting a long time for that plaque and certificate, so it's wonderful to finally have that on display.
